Marc Márquez assumes the leadership of the MotoGP World Championship after his victory in Misano

Marc Márquez is launched. Martín, very combative in the early stages, managed to snatch first place for several laps. But, as time went by, he lost pace and ended up being surpassed by Álex Márquez, Pedro Acosta and FemínAldeguer to finally find himself condemned to fifth place, a long way from Raúl Fernández who was sixth and who thus completed a completely historic Spanish total in the first six places.

«I'm leaving happy, our pace has been good and the bike has gone quite well. There is still a little more to go, but we have to be satisfied,” Acosta said after the test. «It has been very nice. After finishing ninth in the standings, we thought we had ruined the weekend. The sensations have improved, but Marc has had an incredible race. In the end, I am very happy, proud to wear these colors and we dedicate this podium to Marco Simoncelli," explained Álex Márquez, clad in the white of the sadly deceased Italian driver, whom Gresini wanted to pay tribute to on a circuit, Misano, which has officially carried his name for almost 15 years.
