Marine Le Pen says France can no longer finance aid to Ukraine at the same level

RN presidential candidate Marine Le Pen said on Wednesday that Paris could no longer help Ukraine as much as currently due to France's degraded public finances. “In proportion to what we have done so far, which is considerable, we say we cannot do it,” the leader of the National Rally (RN) said on LCI.

“This is not an act of hostility towards Ukraine. We can continue to train their soldiers, their armies, we can continue to provide them with equipment to be able to defend themselves. But financially, we can no longer. We can no longer,” she added. “Because we cannot say on the one hand there is not a euro (...) to index pensions but, on the other hand, there are billions for the net contribution to the European Union,” she added.
