The wait is about to end. This Sunday (6), São José do Rio Preto (SP) becomes the capital of pop rock music in Brazil when it hosts the debut of the national tour "Love Is Like", by the North American band Maroon 5. For the first time in the interior of São Paulo, the group led by Adam Levine is expected to bring together around 25 thousand people at the Alberto Bertelli Lucatto Exhibition Center and generate around R$20 million in the local economy.

The surprise announcement and the race for tickets

The mobilization began on May 28, when the official announcement confirmed Rio Preto as the only city in the interior of the country to be part of the tour route. The news caused an immediate rush at the virtual and physical box offices: tickets were made available with prices between R$300 and R$1,500, distributed in the Track, Pista Premium and Camarote Open sectors, in addition to the solidarity ticket modality with food donation.

National attraction, dressing room requirements and countdown

On August 26, production confirmed the Minas Gerais band Lagum as the official opening show. The group from Belo Horizonte, a reference for Generation Z and declared fans of Maroon 5, prepared a special repertoire to warm up the arena before the main attraction.
In the same week, g1 exclusively revealed the list of dressing room requirements for international artists. Despite their global stardom, the band made requests that were considered modest, mixing luxury products with a touch of appreciation for local production:

Regional coffee powder: Special order of coffee powder from brands produced in the interior of São Paulo.
Special waters: In the main dressing room, 48 bottles of common mineral water and six large glass bottles of imported brands Voss and Acqua Panna were requested.
Black towels: 24 strictly black hand towels for the stage and six large bath towels backstage.

In the final stage of preparation, the Exhibition Grounds received the assembly of a monumental structure measuring 50 meters wide, 18 meters high and 20 meters deep. The scenography features a 28x12 meter LED lighting panel, more than 600 cutting-edge spotlights and a 27 meter long catwalk to bring vocalist Adam Levine closer to the audience.
This Saturday (5), the day before the presentation, the organization published the access guide and safety rules for the event.

Public transport: Line 209 – Distrito Industrial operates with a reinforced fleet leaving platform 09 of the Central Urban Terminal from 4pm, with extra buses available on the way to and from the end of the show.
