McNulty wins the rainbow jersey in Montreal in the last 100 km

The race heats up in the last 100 km. At various times the Belgian Wout Van Aert, the Dutch Mathieu van der Poel, the Mexican Isaac Del Toro, the French talent Paul Seixas, the British Tom Pidcock, the Slovenian Roglic try. The Italian Giulio Ciccone also remains with the best. With 30 km to go the American McNulty gives it a try and takes a nice lead over his pursuers, including Seixas, Del Toro and Ciccone. The route

The long week of the Road Cycling World Championships ended as per tradition with the elite men's road race. In Montreal the route of over 273 kilometers included a total altitude difference of 3800 meters with 12 laps of the final circuit. The notable absentee was Tadej Pogacar, who was unable to defend the title he won last year due to the bad injury he suffered at the Vuelta.
