After Metin Öztürk... Another resignation in Galatasaray!

Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş. Deputy Chairman Abdullah Kavukcu published a statement and announced that he resigned from his position in the yellow-red club.

Abdullah Kavukcu's statement is as follows:

"I am deeply saddened that the verbal discussion between me and Mr. Metin Öztürk, following our Board of Directors meeting held on October 27, was conveyed to the public with exaggerated and unrealistic expressions, especially on social media, and was taken away from its true dimensions.

I would never want this mutual discussion between two managers who have taken on the responsibility of serving Galatasaray to be reflected differently than it is, getting in the way of our club's goals and damaging the unity and solidarity of our community.

I do not want the name of Galatasaray, which I put at the center of my life and whose love and values I hold above all else, to be mentioned with such discussions.

Due to my love and responsibility for Galatasaray, I have decided to resign from my position as a member of the Board of Directors in order to ensure that personal issues do not cast even the slightest shadow on the peace, reputation and goals of our club.

I would especially like to state that my commitment to Galatasaray is not limited to any position or title, and that I will continue to contribute in every way I can for the success of our club.
