Milan, revolution on the transfer market: Ramos and Moreira arrive, Leao's future in the balance

Gonçalo Ramos first, Diego Moreira then and, perhaps, a defender, between Inacio and Tiago Gabriel. Jorge Mendes' team, visiting the headquarters today for a long meeting with the Rossoneri leaders, enriches the Milan squad, while Amorim awaits the final reinforcements: a central defender, in fact, and an attacking midfielder. But the Portuguese super agent, among other mandates, also has to find a buyer for Rafa Leao, once Milan's extra man in the Scudetto and now ended up on the fringes of the project. One hundred and five million already spent (including those for Gila and Diawara), others still to be invested while waiting for important sales. Offers are also expected for Tomori, Fofana and Nkunku - preferably outright - while Gimenez, Bondo and Estupinian are also out. Ricci, however, should end up on loan to Como. Odugu also goes to Toulouse on a temporary basis, while Andrej Kostic moves to Sparta Rotterdam with the same formula.

Milan therefore radically changes their skin and, a few days after their championship debut against Torino, continues to build the team entrusted to Rúben Amorim. The last piece is the 22-year-old Belgian winger from Strasbourg, who arrived in Milan in the last few hours and signed the contract that will tie him to the Rossoneri until 2031. An operation worth around 45 million euros plus bonuses, destined to become one of the most important investments in the club's recent history. The most expensive in history was that for Gonçalo Ramos, the striker who arrived from Paris Saint-Germain for over 70 million euros.

For him, a crowd in the shop on Via Dante and his first ambitious words. Ramos didn't hide from his goals either. "I'm here for the scudetto", he doesn't hide, reiterating his desire to win trophies and score many goals. And above all he explains that he had no doubts about the choice to move to Milan: "When I learned that there was the possibility of coming to Milan I had no doubts: it was the right choice".

A decision also linked to the presence of Amorim, with whom he shares "the same idea of ​​football" and from whose trust he received further motivation.

The Portuguese center forward jokes about the pressure linked to the number 9 shirt, considered for years one of the most difficult to wear at the Rossoneri, a curse that only Giroud managed to dispel in the post-Inzaghi era. "I don't believe in these things, I only believe in work. Maybe I'm more 'cursed' than the number, we'll see", he says smiling. Words that photograph the new Milan: heavy investments, a coach with a precise idea and players called upon to transform ambitions into results.

Moreira adds another offensive solution, Ramos has already found the goal and on Sunday, against Torino, the first real test of the season will come. After weeks of transfer market and changes, the time has come for Amorim and his Milan to move from the most noble intentions to the harsh law of the pitch.
