May God have mercy on our staff member Ferhat Öz, who lost his life in a work accident that occurred during the maintenance and repair works carried out at our MKE Gazi Fişek Factory on September 27, and our condolences to his family and relatives; We wish a speedy recovery to our staff who are still receiving treatment.
Our 2nd Air Maintenance Factory Directorate, which has made significant contributions to improving the operational capability of our Air Force and keeping the mission readiness level of our aircraft high since its establishment; It successfully carries out factory level maintenance, repair, modernization and modification activities of different types of aircraft, especially our A400M, C-130 and CN-235 military transport aircraft, KC-135R tanker aircraft and SF-260D and T-41D training aircraft, as well as aircraft fire extinguishing, aircraft trailers, bomb loading vehicles, aircraft arresting systems, anti-aircraft guns and fuel supply tankers.
In addition to its maintenance and sustainment capabilities, our Factory produces our first national aircraft tow vehicle, "Rahvan", developed with local and national resources, and our bomb loading vehicle, "Seyit Onbaşı". It serves as the only Parachute Production Center in the inventory of our Turkish Armed Forces and the highest capacity manufacturing center of our Air Forces Command.

DEFENSE INDUSTRY / NEW WEAPON SYSTEMS IN THE INVENTORY
Efforts to strengthen the modern and effective defense power of our Turkish Armed Forces with the advanced technology products of our domestic and national defense industry continue with determination.
In this context;
- On September 28, the acceptance activity of our New Generation Basic Training Aircraft HÜRKUŞ-II was held at TAI's Kahramankazan facilities with the participation of our Air Forces Commander and Deputy Minister Mr. Salih Ayhan,
- Also last week, the inspection and acceptance activities of various Wheeled Weapon Carrier Vehicles were completed by our Land Forces Command.

- 81 mm mortar ammunition and 155 mm concrete-piercing artillery fuzes for our Land Forces Command,
- Azak warhead was delivered to our defense industry stakeholders.
In addition, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between MKE's company in Azerbaijan, Makine Kimya Azerbaijan (MKA) and the Azerbaijani company Miras on September 30 for the modernization of BMP-1 armored combat vehicles and joint defense industry projects; The first modernized BMP-1T "Turan" was introduced to the public for the first time at ADEX 2026.

BORDER SECURITY
At our borders, where security is established at the highest level on a 24/7 basis, 712 people trying to cross our borders illegally, including 1 member of a terrorist organization, were caught. The number of people caught trying to cross our borders illegally from January 1 to today is 12 thousand 706. With the 1,149 people blocked, the number of people blocked at our borders this year has reached 52 thousand 487.
In addition, approximately 413 kilograms (412,741 grams) of drugs were seized during the search and screening activity carried out on the Van border line this week.
CONTRIBUTIONS TO REGIONAL AND GLOBAL PEACE AND STABILITY / NATO / BILATERAL RELATIONS
Our Turkish Armed Forces continues to make significant contributions to regional and global security, peace and stability within the framework of bilateral relations with the responsibilities it assumes on international platforms. In line with the framework of the Türkiye-Greece Confidence Building Measures Implementation Plan, our National Defense University will visit the Greek National Defense College in Athens between 7-9 October.
ISRAEL
Within the scope of developments in the Middle East; We reject the raids carried out by Israeli extremist groups on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and we state once again that violations and provocations targeting the holy places further fuel tensions in the region and undermine peace and stability efforts.
Israel, which caused the loss of life of 74 thousand Palestinians, including innocent babies, children and women, and the deprivation of the remaining people's right to a decent life, continues its attacks and settler occupations in the West Bank in the most severe form.
We emphasize once again the importance of the need for international conscience to take action to end what is happening in Palestine, and we reiterate our call for the international community to take deterrent measures against Israel's attacks that violate international and humanitarian law.

STUDENT AND STAFF SUPPLY ACTIVITIES
Within the scope of personnel and military student recruitment/supply procedures carried out in accordance with the plans;

- The preliminary application process for the employment of contracted sergeants and privates in public institutions and organizations who have completed seven years of service in the Turkish Armed Forces will be carried out via e-Government between 22 September and 12 October.
As a result, our Turkish Armed Forces, which are the guarantee of our independence, indivisible integrity and national unity and solidarity; It will continue to ensure the defense and security of our country on land, at sea and in the air and to successfully fulfill all the duties entrusted to it.
ELECTRIC CABLE ROUTE BETWEEN GREECE AND Greek Cypriot Administration
In accordance with international law, any cable/pipe laying or scientific research activities to be carried out on our continental shelf must be coordinated in advance with our country, which is a coastal state.
Our country will not allow any unauthorized activity on our continental shelf, within the framework of its rights and authorities arising from being a coastal state on the continental shelf, which were shaped by the Maritime Jurisdiction Area Limitation Agreements signed with the TRNC and Libya in the Eastern Mediterranean and declared to the United Nations on March 18, 2020.
MECCA DEFENSE ALLIANCE
Within the scope of the Mecca Defense Alliance, the Chiefs of General Staff of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of Turkey held a meeting in Riyadh, the Capital of Saudi Arabia, on 25 September 2026.
At the meeting, ways to further cooperation between the armed forces of the three countries, increase military coordination and capability integration were discussed, and issues of strengthening deterrence and collective defense were discussed.
MILITARY PASSAGE HELD IN GCASC
The military parade held in the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus was followed closely. As we have stated before, we emphasize once again that the ongoing armament activities of the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus and the military cooperation it has developed with third countries negatively affect the delicate balances and environment of trust on the Island.
It is clear that the provocative actions carried out by the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus and Greece do not contribute to the efforts to establish mutual trust on the Island, on the contrary, they increase the tension and damage the atmosphere of stability.
As the guarantor country, we reiterate that a fair, permanent and sustainable solution on the Island of Cyprus is possible by accepting the sovereign equality and equal international status of the Turkish Cypriot people.
Our country will continue to take the necessary measures in cooperation with the TRNC authorities to protect the security, peace and welfare of the Turkish Cypriot people today and in the future, as in the past.
IRAQ BASHIKA-ZILKAN COMPOUND
We welcome the recent steps taken by the Central Iraqi Government to establish state authority in Sinjar. We evaluate that the steps in question will contribute to the normalization of the region and the creation of an environment of security and stability and a terrorist-free zone.
It has been decided that the Bashiqa-Zilkan Campus, which has been used by the Turkish Armed Forces within the scope of the fight against the DAESH terrorist organization, upon the request of the Iraqi authorities since 2015, will be gradually handed over to the Iraqi authorities in line with the agreed mechanism and timeline, within the framework of the progress made by the Central Iraqi Government's security practices in Sinjar.
Our country stands by our neighbor Iraq today, as it did yesterday, in ensuring the security environment and stability in the region. During the contacts to be held in the coming period, it is planned to take steps that will take the military and security cooperation between Türkiye and Iraq to a much higher level.
Iraqi Armed Forces within the framework of bilateral agreements; We will continue to provide support in the areas of increasing military capacity, sharing experience/expertise in the fight against terrorism, military training, and defense industry cooperation.
C130-J SUPPLY FROM THE UNITED KINGDOM
The agreement for the supply of 12 C-130J aircraft from the United Kingdom was signed between the two countries.
In line with the determined schedule, it is aimed to gradually bring the aircraft to our country after the ongoing maintenance activities in the United Kingdom. In this context, the first 2 aircraft are planned to be delivered in December.
