Minister Edson Fachin asks the PF for a report on the alleged involvement of STF ministers in the Banco Master case

In the letter sent to the general director of the PF, Andrei Rodrigues, minister Edson Fachin states that "information, data, documents, elements or signs related to the possible involvement of members of the Federal Supreme Court in facts subject to investigation in the context of the Master Bank" have been made public.

Fachin asks the PF to send to the Presidency "a report, file or set of information in which the related facts have been presented in full, without exception to the person, and that the due steps will be taken."

In 2025, investigations by Banco Master revealed evidence of relations between Supreme Court ministers and banker Daniel Vorcaro, who is arrested on suspicion of financial fraud.

In the letter, the President of the Supreme Court emphasizes that the Federal Police and the Public Ministry are State institutions and not government institutions, and that investigations must be conducted respecting due legal process and the autonomy of the Federal Police, the Public Ministry and the Supreme Court itself. Edson Fachin still wants to meet with Andrei Rodrigues.
