Mitri: Israel is blocking aid to the Lebanese army

Mitri, in an interview with the Lebanese news agency NNA, said that many countries expressed their readiness to help the Lebanese army to enter the pilot areas in the south, but Israel prevented this.

Mitri said, "Israel blocks many countries that want to help the army in southern Lebanon."

Pointing out that Israel has an uncompromising attitude towards the UN Lebanon Interim Peace Force (UNIFIL), Mitri pointed out the necessity of the presence of an international force in the south of Lebanon.

Mitri argued that Israel was not ready to show good faith regarding the negotiations and the framework agreement.

The Israeli army launched intense air attacks on Lebanon on March 2 and occupied many towns in the south of the country.

The Lebanese government announced that the number of people displaced in the country exceeded 1 million during this period.

The ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which came into force on April 17, was later extended several times.

On the other hand, after the 5th round of direct negotiations between Israel and Lebanon in Washington, a framework agreement was signed between Lebanon and Israel on June 26.

In its last statement, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that 4 thousand 346 people lost their lives and 12 thousand 301 people were injured in Israel's attacks on the country since March 2.
