Quatro monjas de clausura deixaram a rotina em um convento de Teresópolis, na Região Serrana do Rio, para exercer o direito ao voto neste domingo (4) de eleições. Irmã Bernadette, irmã Maria e irmã Mariana foram às urnas e compartilharam o que representou esse momento.
A Irmã Mariana Aparecida do Sagrado Coração de Jesus e São José, explica que, para elas, que vivem em clausura, sair para votar também é uma maneira de participar da sociedade. Segundo ela, o trabalho das monjas é feito por meio da oração, mas, neste dia, também incluiu a votação.
"Como cristã, como religiosa, a gente também tem que ter essa responsabilidade diante da pátria. Por isso, nós estamos aqui e vamos votar", disse a irmã Bernadete de Maria Imaculada.
Entre a oração e o exercício da cidadania, as quatro monjas reforçaram que o voto é uma forma de participação na sociedade e que cada cidadão pode contribuir para a construção do país.
"Nós temos essa responsabilidade como cidadãos. Estando no mundo, não sendo do mundo, nós temos que ajudar o evangelho a ser vivido em todos os lugares. Por isso, temos que participar de todos os âmbitos", contou a irmã Maria Catarina da Sagrada Face.
"Como nós somos monjas de clausura, é mais pela oração que a gente promove a cura, incentivar a procura da pessoa ter consciência. Votação e oração", compartilhou a Irmã Mariana Aparecida do Sagrado Coração de Jesus e São José.
