Montes Claros honors teachers and managers for their performance in IDEB 2025

The Municipality of Montes Claros, through the Department of Education, held a tribute in recognition of the teachers and managers of the Municipal Education Network for their excellent performance in the IDEB 2025 (Basic Education Development Index).

The municipal network of Montes Claros achieved a score of 6.7 in the Initial Years and 5.4 in the Final Years of Elementary School, guaranteeing first place among the largest cities in Minas Gerais. The index is similar to the national average for private schools, reaffirming the standard of excellence of the municipal public network. Tributes - The teachers who contributed to obtaining 1st place in the IDEB 2025 of the Municipal Education System were recognized by the municipality of Montes Claros for their significant contribution to municipal public education.

The coordinators of Elementary School - Initial and Final Years, Daniela Baliza Seixas and Erica Ferreira da Silva, and the 5th year teachers at Escola Municipal Bolivar de Andrade (Karine Kelly Cardoso Nogueira, Gilvani Ferreira de Almeida, Vanessa Barbosa da Silva, Cristina Paranhos, Ilza Dias de Souza Andrade and Juliane Evangelista Alves) were honored.

Professor Ney Murilo Caldeira Veloso, who teaches Mathematics, and professor Sandra Renata Fonseca Mota, who teaches Portuguese Language in the 9th year of Escola Municipal Geraldo Pereira de Souza, were also recognized. The 9th grade teachers at Escola Municipal Jair de Oliveira, Tamara Durães Gonçalves, of Portuguese Language, and Kelsilene Durães Saraiva Soares, of Mathematics, were honored for their notable advances in IDEB 2025.

Likewise, teachers Ilza Dias de Souza Andrade and Juliane Evangelista Alves, from Escola Municipal Mestra Fininha, were recognized for the greatest progress in the 5th year in the Municipal Education System.

For the director of Escola Municipal Geraldo Pereira de Souza, who had the second best score among all public schools in the city, this honor is extended to the entire school community. "We are extremely happy with this result, highlighting that the recognition goes to the entire team and the school community, including teachers, staff, managers and all those who support education, welcoming the school as a safe space and promoting education. It is our responsibility to always raise education at the Geraldo Pereira school to the highest level, through a lot of effort, even facing various difficulties, but with great determination and commitment", commented Hilda Alves de Oliveira, or Dona Hilda, as she is affectionately called.

The director of Escola Municipal Bolivar de Andrade, considered the best public school in the city, also recognized the teachers, staff, students and the community.

"It is a great joy not only for me, as director, but for the entire school team. We are celebrating the success of first place in the IDEB, not only in the municipal network, but throughout the city. This brought a lot of happiness to our hearts, as it is the result of an effort that we carried out with responsibility, affection and dedication towards our students. A delivery full of trust and security among everyone involved: school, educators and community", said director Renata Beatriz Durães Soares, remembering that quality school training guarantees better opportunities and prepares new generations for the job market.
