Moscow announces further attacks

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Telegram that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have begun preparations for "massive attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities." This is supposed to be "revenge" for the attacks on Russian energy infrastructure.

The announcement of further strikes was made only a day after the attack on the town of Myla in the Kiev Oblast. According to data provided by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, 38 people died there.

Russia has repeatedly attacked Ukrainian power plants, transmission networks and other elements of energy infrastructure. The aim of such activities was, among others, limiting the supply of electricity and heating to the population during the heating season.

At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities warn against a Russian land offensive towards northern Ukraine.

Pavlo Palisa, deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, told reporters that Russian commanders were ordered to plan and prepare attacks on Kiev and Chernihiv.

Kyiv: Russia may increase mobilization

Ukrainian Defense Minister Yevheniy Khmara, in turn, warned that Russia is considering another mobilization and wants to appoint about 300,000 this year. additional soldiers and 300,000 in the next one.

Chmara believes that increasing the mobilization potential is a response to Russian problems related to the conduct of the war and the losses suffered by Russian troops.

The minister added that Putin's goal is "to occupy the entire territory of Ukraine, destroy Ukrainian statehood and present it as a historical contribution to the development of the Russian state."

Poland: Ukraine needs more air support

Prime Minister Donald Tusk also commented on the situation. On Saturday, he announced that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte had assessed the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian front and indicated that "escalation on the part of Russia is progressing."
