Motorcyclist dies after being hit by pickup truck on Rodovia Marechal Rondon in Cabreúva

A motorcyclist died after being hit by a pickup truck on Rodovia Marechal Rondon (SP-300), in Cabreúva, on Monday night (12).

The accident occurred at kilometer 85, when the vehicle collided with the back of the motorcycle. One occupant died instantly and another suffered minor injuries.

A few hours earlier, at kilometer 79 of the same highway, a pedestrian died after being hit by a motorcycle in the lane.

Upon impact, the pedestrian was thrown. The service caused closures on the shoulder for 5 hours and in the traffic lane for 2 hours.

According to the concessionaire that manages the stretch, the accident occurred at kilometer 85, when the driver was hit by the vehicle following behind.

After the crash, the truck stopped on the shoulder and the motorcycle was thrown into the side median. One of the motorcycle's occupants died at the scene and another person suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the utility vehicle was not injured. The section was closed for approximately 3 hours to deal with the incident.

Also on Monday night, a few hours before the collision between the vehicles, a pedestrian died after being run over at kilometer 79 of the same highway.

According to information from the dealership, the victim was hit by a motorcyclist in lane 1.

With the impact, the pedestrian was thrown and succumbed to his injuries.

To deal with the incident, the shoulder was closed for 5 hours and lane 2 for 2 hours.
