Driver arrested for drunk driving on SP-300 in Laranjal Paulista

A 26-year-old driver was arrested red-handed after being caught drunk and driving in a zigzag pattern along the shoulder of Rodovia Marechal Rondon (SP-300), at kilometer 174, in Laranjal Paulista (SP), on Friday night (25). The case was registered in the early hours of Saturday (26), as drunk driving.

According to the police report, the car was located during patrolling carried out by the Military Police on the highway. In addition to the way the driver was driving, the military police also identified several damages to the windshield.

During the approach, the police noticed that the driver showed signs of intoxication, such as the odor of alcoholic beverages, disorientation and slurred speech. Because of this, support was requested from the Highway Police to carry out the breathalyzer test, carried out after the team arrived at the scene.

The driver took a breathalyzer test, which confirmed alcohol consumption and indicated the crime of drunk driving.

He was taken to the Botucatu Civil Police Station, where the deputy on duty presented a bond of R$1,500, but it was not paid.

According to the record, the man's car also had administrative restrictions and was seized by the Military Police and taken to the yard.
