According to an Indian Express report, the 44-year-old began with stretching and mobility drills before waiting nearly 15 minutes to enter the nets. Once there, Dhoni batted for close to 30 minutes alongside Prashant Veer, first taking throwdowns and later facing spin bowlers.
Observers saw him clear the ropes multiple times during the session. By 7:30 PM, he had returned to the dressing room, but the brief appearance only deepened the curiosity surrounding his availability.
Dhoni has attended training sessions regularly through the season, but this one drew far greater attention because it came before Chennaiās final league game at home.
