Valéria Matos Ribeiro, 48, who was stabbed in the abdomen by her ex, had a worsening condition this Saturday morning (24), urgently needing blood type A positive (A+), according to her family. She is also waiting for a place to be transferred to another unit.

The victim is admitted to the Intensive Care Center (CTI) of the Dr. Rodolpho Perissé Municipal Hospital, in Armação dos Búzios (RJ), but anyone who can help should donate to Hemolagos, which is in Cabo Frio, a neighboring municipality. On Thursday (22), g1 published a report about the low blood supply at Hemolagos, which mainly affected type A+.

Valéria was stabbed this Friday (23), in front of her 8-year-old son, when she was at home, in the Vila Verde neighborhood, in Búzios. The former partner, Ademilson da Silva, 54, sent audio to the victim's brother confessing to the attack.

After searches carried out by the Military Police, he was found dead in his home, in the Rasa neighborhood. The case was registered as a suicide. In the audio, Ademilson says:

"It was a lot of humiliation that I suffered in my life. I ended up stabbing Valéria. Try to help her there, 'vei'. I don't know if I killed her, but I stabbed her sister, crazy!", said Ademilson da Silva via audio message.

The couple's 8-year-old son tried to defend his mother and suffered a minor injury to his arm. His life is not at risk and he remains under observation at the hospital.

Valéria suffered a perforation in the abdominal region and underwent emergency surgery to remove the knife.

According to the family's report, the couple has been separated since February and the suspect had agreed to leave the residence.

Family members also stated that they were never aware of episodes of violence and that there was no protective measure in place. The victim and suspect were in a relationship for 15 years.

Open Questions

  • What is the expected transfer of the victim to another unit?
  • Has the A+ blood stock at Hemolagos been normalized?
