Netanyahu cited overthrowing the Iranian regime as his main task

In the statement made by the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, it was reported that Netanyahu met with Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, Chief of General Staff Eyal Zamir and other commanders at the Ministry of Defense Complex Kirya in Tel Aviv.

In his speech here, Netanyahu claimed that the Tehran administration "stumbled and was weaker than ever", arguing that they had repelled the Iranian threat.

"The main task before us is to overthrow the Iranian regime, and we are confident in our abilities in this regard." Netanyahu said, arguing that this is not impossible, but achievable and close as the central task before them.

Netanyahu claimed that Iran did not attack them because of Israel's response and argued that they had unity within the country.

Opinion polls ahead of the elections to be held in Israel on October 27 show that former Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar Party is leading the race.

Netanyahu, who is falling behind in public opinion polls, is increasing his rhetoric and threats towards the outside world.
