Japan’s Ministry of Justice cancels partnership with Netflix’s delinquent romance show

Fuji News Network (FNN) reported that Netflix's love reality program "Delinquents Find Love" is a program in which delinquent boys and girls face their past and grow through love and friendship.

In early August, Japan's Ministry of Justice's Protection Bureau released a poster for a cross-border collaboration with Netflix's love reality program "The Delinquent's Search for Love" to promote "rehabilitation protection" work.

The Ministry of Justice originally stated: "I hope this will help more people understand the work of rehabilitative protection, and hope that everyone can support people who are living in difficult situations and are in dire straits to get back on their feet with love."

However, after the poster was released, it sparked heated discussions on social media, with many people criticizing that "this may make crime victims feel uncomfortable and helpless."

In response, the Ministry of Justice officially announced the cancellation of this cooperation this afternoon and has notified rehabilitation facilities across the country to stop displaying the poster.
