Netflix Türkiye increased subscription fees

Digital broadcasting platform Netflix Türkiye has made a new update on current subscription fees. The platform increased the prices of all three different subscription packages in the Turkish market: Basic, Standard and Premium.

With the new pricing, the Basic package, which is the lowest membership option, increased to 259.99 TL. The price of the Premium package, which is the highest membership fee, was determined as 499.99 TL.

New Subscription Prices and Package Details

According to the data shared by Netflix, there was a significant price change in all packages. The Basic Plan became available to users, increasing from 189.99 TL to 259.99 TL.

The Standard Plan was increased from 289.99 TL to 389.99 TL. For Premium Plan users, the old price of 379.99 TL reached 499.99 TL with the new tariff.

With these regulations, the Basic package has been increased by 70 TL. There was a price increase of 100 TL for the Standard package and 120 TL for the Premium package.

Increase Rates and Annual Cost Calculations

When the increase rates in subscription fees are examined, it is seen that the highest proportional increase is in the Basic package. The price of the basic package increased by approximately 36.8 percent.

In the standard package, this rate was 34.5 percent. A price increase of 31.6 percent was applied to the premium package.

With the new price tariff, the annual total costs of subscriptions were also recalculated. If the same prices are valid for 12 months, the annual cost of the Basic plan is 3,119.88 TL.

For users who prefer the standard plan, the annual cost reached 4,679.88 TL. The cost of this package, which offers 1080p resolution, has now exceeded 4 thousand 679 liras.

The annual cost of the Premium package, which offers 4K resolution support, is calculated as 5,999.88 TL. With this figure, the annual cost of the Premium package has reached the limit of approximately 6 thousand TL.

The content quality and resolution options offered by the platform continue to be decisive in users' package preferences. The new pricing policy also increased the impact of digital platform subscriptions on annual budgets.
