Nevada man kills girlfriend and two children after discovering infidelity, police say

A Nevada man killed his girlfriend and two children after finding out that she cheated on him with an ex, police say.

Juan Carlos Orona, 29, turned himself in just around 7 p.m. Tuesday in connection to the case. When officers arrived at a Las Vegas address provided by Orona, they discovered the bodies of an adult woman, a teenage girl and a boy under 10 years of age.

All had suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed in a statement.

Orona told police that he confronted his girlfriend, Nohani Flores-Osuna, at her apartment. According to an arrest report obtained by KLAS, he had been dating Flores-Osuna for three to six months and was staying at the home.

The suspect told Flores-Osuna that he saw her vehicle near her ex-boyfriend’s car. The ex was identified in the report only as “Henry.”

“Juan confirmed he confronted Nohani about infidelity with Henry and she confirmed she had been having sexual relations with Henry, and he was better in bed than Juan,” the report reads.

The report continues, “After hearing this, Juan stated he blacked out, and when he came to, he was holding his Glock 9MM handgun in the bathroom, and Nohani and her children’s bodies were on the ground.”

The arrest report revealed that Orona’s father drove him to Southeast Area Command and that the suspect could not remember how the shooting unfolded.

How Orona suffered a “superficial” gunshot wound remains unknown, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Robert Price told reporters at a press briefing. The suspect was treated in the hospital and released.

Police have confirmed that Orona has been charged with three counts of open murder with a deadly weapon, as well as ten counts of discharging a gun into an occupied structure.

Speaking to reporters, Price urged anyone experiencing domestic violence to reach out for help.

“Unfortunately, domestic violence is always one of our top causal factors of homicide,” Price said. “It’s something we encourage anybody that’s having these types of issues to please reach out for assistance.”

Price added, “This is just a very tragic, tragic situation.”

Orona is next scheduled to appear in court on September 9.
