Davi Alcolumbre does not rule out voting for the PEC at the end of the 6x1 between the election rounds

Despite having said that he will not vote on the PEC that foresees the end of the 6x1 before the elections, the president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), does not rule out analyzing the text in plenary between the first and second rounds of the election.

Alcolumbre told allies that he is considering voting on the matter in the meantime, still in October, in light of requests from the Lula government. Ministers will insist on demanding that the PEC be voted on.

Members of the PT campaign say that the project can be used as an asset to guarantee more support for Lula's re-election and see approval as essential.

Putting the matter to a vote does not mean, however, that it will be approved. Opposition senators are discussing the possibility of not providing a quorum to guarantee the approval of the text. As it is a PEC, it depends on the approval of at least 49 of the 81 senators.
