National Citizen Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NCB) asked for shareholders' opinions on a plan to issue private shares, aiming to increase charter capital to nearly 62,280 billion VND in 2027.
According to the plan submitted to the General Meeting of Shareholders, NCB plans to offer 3.3 billion individual shares at a price of 10,000 VND per share, equivalent to a mobilized capital of 33,000 billion VND.
Offering subjects are professional securities investors according to regulations, with financial capacity and long-term companion orientation with the bank. All proceeds are expected to supplement capital for NCB's business activities in the period 2027-2028.
Previously, at the end of June, NCB completed the largest capital increase in its operating history, bringing its charter capital to 29,280 billion VND. On July 22, the State Bank issued a decision to amend the bank's establishment and operation license, recording the new charter capital.
If all of the above shares are issued in 2027, NCB's charter capital will increase from the current VND 29,280 billion to nearly VND 62,280 billion, equivalent to an increase of about 112.7%. At the same time, NCB will be one of the banks with the fastest charter capital increase in the market, continuing to set a record with 5 consecutive capital increases within 6 years (2021 - 2027), expected to be in the top 10 banks with the largest charter capital in the market.
NCB's plan to increase charter capital is implemented in the context that the bank has just completed 5 years of comprehensive reconstruction and is in the first phase of a new development phase. In the first half of the year, NCB's total assets reached nearly 199,000 billion VND, an increase of 21.5% compared to the end of 2025, exceeding the whole year plan. Profit after tax reached more than 726.7 billion VND, an increase of 57% over the same period in 2025. Total customer loans reached more than 133,527 billion VND, an increase of nearly 36,000 billion VND compared to the end of 2025.
Bad debt ratio and structure continue to improve. NCB's total customer mobilization (including customer deposits and issuance of valuable papers) by the end of June reached more than 150,000 billion VND, an increase of nearly 14% compared to the end of 2025. NCB's demand deposits (CASA) also reached more than 11,889 billion VND, an increase of 9% compared to the end of 2025.
In 2026, NCB will participate in sponsoring and arranging capital for many major projects such as: Convention and Exhibition Center Project, Theater, Park, infrastructure serving APEC; Nha Rong Wharf - Khanh Hoi Cultural Park project and public green trees along the Saigon River; City Center Square and Administrative Center project of Ho Chi Minh City...
At the same time, NCB also cooperated with Sun Group to launch the Sun Signature loyalty program with exclusive privileges ranging from finance to aviation, resort tourism, entertainment, real estate and high-end health care.
The bank representative said that the continuous increase in charter capital is expected to help NCB have more resources to expand operations, accelerate business, enhance its position in Vietnam's banking and financial market, and accompany the development of the business community and the economy in the country's new growth cycle.
