Nigel Farage wins Clacton by-election in England

Reform UK Party leader Nigel Farage, who resigned from parliament after it was revealed that he did not report the donations he received in England, won the Clacton by-election.

According to the election results, which were boycotted by mainstream political parties, including the ruling Labor Party, far-right party leader Farage, who reached 62.8 percent with 22 thousand 239 votes, re-entered the British Parliament. The election participation rate was 44.37 percent.

Farage's closest rival was comedian Jonathan David Harvey, who ran under the name "Count Binface". Count Binface, known for his trash can costume, received 9,455 votes, 26.7 percent of the votes.

The election in Clacton, in which 34 candidates competed, went down in history as the election in which both the total number of candidates and the number of independent candidates (20) were highest in British history.
