What is known about the accident that killed three people leaving a party in Acre
Antônio Carlos Parente, Nahyure Antonieta and Verony da Costa died on Sunday (30), on BR-364 between Tarauacá and Feijó, after being run over by a lawyer. João Victor Casas Lopes was arrested after a collision.
Collision between a car and two motorcycles killed three people on BR-364, in Acre, this Sunday (30). A fourth person was seriously injured.
Victims who died were identified as Antônio Carlos Parente da Silva, Nahyure Antonieta Gomes de Oliveira and Verony da Costa Viana Silva.
João Victor Casas Lopes is suspected of causing the collision. He worked at the Civil House of Acre, but was dismissed this Sunday (30). He remains imprisoned in Tarauacá.
A collision between a car and two motorcycles left three people dead at kilometer 16 of BR-364 between Tarauacá and Feijó, in the interior of Acre, in the early hours of Sunday (30). Another person was injured and taken to Cruzeiro do Sul in serious condition.
The victims were identified as Antônio Carlos Parente da Silva, Nahyure Antonieta Gomes de Oliveira and Verony da Costa Viana Silva. The fourth person's identity was not disclosed. The driver of the car was identified as João Victor Casas Lopes, special advisor to the Civil House of Acre. According to the Civil Police, the lawyer was drunk at the time of the accident.
The investigation must identify the circumstances of the crash and responsibility for the deaths of the three victims. The Brazilian Bar Association – Acre Section (OAB-AC) is following the case.

2. Who is the suspect in the accident?
As determined by g1, the driver suspected of hitting the motorcycles is lawyer João Victor Casas Lopes, special advisor to the Civil House of Acre.
According to delegate José Ronério, responsible for the case, it was found that the driver had consumed alcohol. Images published on a social network show João Victor drinking at ExpoTarauacá while campaigning politically on the night of the accident.
3. What happened to the suspect?
João Victor was arrested red-handed on the day of the accident, in Tarauacá. Still on Sunday (30), he was dismissed from the position of special advisor to the Civil House of the government of Acre, a position on a commission he had held since November 2025.
As found by g1, he was on the state government's payroll with a net remuneration of around R$15,500.
This Monday (31), João Victor was released during a custody hearing after paying more than R$16,000 in bail, corresponding to ten minimum wages.
According to the Court of Justice of Acre (TJ-AC), in addition to bail, provisional release was decided with an obligation to keep the address and telephone number updated, monitoring by the Integrated Center for Penal Alternatives (CIAP), as well as electronic monitoring without a fixed deadline.
