H. Moser & Cie. launches new Off-Grid electronic watch: combining traditional watchmaking and digital technology

As smart watches continue to add functions, H. Moser & Cie. instead chooses to subtract and launch the new Off-Grid, which is the first time to enter the field of electronic watches. It retains the signature smoked dial and the streamlined outline of the Speedster series, but adds a digital screen under the hollow dial, trying to find a harmonious balance between traditional watchmaking and technology.

Off-Grid is not a traditional mechanical watch, and the brand does not position it as a general smart watch. It abandons a large number of message notifications, performance and data tracking, leaving only practical functions related to time and travel. The watch will go into sleep after being removed, and will wake up again when it is put on again. Humorous messages will appear on the digital screen from time to time. The appearance retains the familiar design vocabulary of H. Moser & Cie., with a 42.6 mm case and a hollow dial. A smoked small dial is set at 12 o'clock, and a digital display screen is hidden at 6 o'clock.

The core is equipped with the D10 electronic movement developed by SEQUENT for H. Moser & Cie., which integrates GMT time, split-second timing accurate to 1/100 second, perpetual calendar, perpetual moon phase, sunrise and sunset, vibrating alarm clock and timer. There is also an "OFF-GRID" button at 9 o'clock to activate the travel mode, which can quickly select a country, and has built-in 10 common vocabulary words in 21 languages. If you only use the time display, the battery life can be more than 12 months. Even if you use GMT, alarm clock and timing functions at the same time, it can last more than 3 months.

Off-Grid has launched two different colors, the blue PVD stainless steel model with a gray-black smoked dial and a white rubber strap; the black PVD stainless steel model with a red smoked dial and a black rubber strap, each limited to 1,000 pieces. This new work is sold in a limited-time manner and becomes the first H. Moser & Cie. watch to be purchased directly from the official website. According to the brand’s Chinese press materials, it will only be sold until October 4th.
