Turns off AI by default for students

In the new system, tools such as Gemini, Gemini Notebook and Gemini in Classroom will not be available to students unless school administrations give permission.

The regulation will be implemented first in the USA and then around the world. Google has not yet announced the launch date of the application. Access to Google Search may also be restricted in schools as artificial intelligence is integrated into Google's search engine.

The decision is of particular importance due to Google's strong position in the education sector. More than 150 million students around the world use Google Classroom. New York and Los Angeles announced plans to limit the use of AI on school devices in September.
