As the Podkarpackie Voivode emphasized during Tuesday's press conference, the authorities do not contact the families of the victims and injured persons by phone, and any information is provided in person.

The caller reported that the person was dead, which was untrue because the person was alive and still alive. It also offered various forms of insurance. It's disgusting to take advantage of this tragedy, said Teresa Kubas-Hul.

The Podkarpackie Voivode appealed to the relatives of the accident participants to be especially careful. In the event of a suspicious call, report the matter to the office that is supposed to provide assistance.

Polish bus disaster in Hungary

The crash of the Polish bus occurred on Sunday around 1:00 on the M3 highway near the town of Mezőkeresztes in the eastern part of Hungary. 59 Polish citizens were returning from a pilgrimage to Medjugorje in the vehicle.

12 people died in the accident - all of them were adult residents of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. Ten people were taken to Hungarian hospitals in a very serious condition.
