The car fell into a 50-meter cliff! 2 dead, 4 injured

The accident occurred around 19.30 on Salkıkent Street in Doyran District of Konyaaltı district.

According to the information obtained, the light commercial vehicle with plate number 07 NAP 43, driven by Cemal Oktay (67), who was going from Saklıkent to Antalya city center, overcame the barriers at the bend in Asagiin location and fell down a 50-meter cliff.

Citizens in other vehicles who saw the vehicle flipping over and falling off the cliff reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon notice, AFAD, fire brigade, gendarmerie and many medical teams were dispatched to the scene. During the check made by the medical teams that came to the region, it was determined that Cemal Oktay and Şükrü Fidan (62) lost their lives.

The young man named Bedriye C.O., Leyla T., Berivan O. and Furkan, who were in the vehicle, survived the accident with injuries. AFAD and fire brigade teams removed the injured from their location after about half an hour of work.

The injured were transported to the hospital by ambulance by medical teams waiting at the scene. The bodies of the two people who lost their lives in the accident were taken to the morgue of the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute after examination by the gendarmerie teams.
