Pilot Gian dies after serious accident in Caxambu do Sul

The case happened on Friday afternoon (11) in Caxambu do Sul, in the West, and the first assistance was provided by the Border Aeromedical Assistance and Rescue Service (Saer-Fron).

According to the corporation, Gian was found in cardiorespiratory arrest, requiring a blood transfusion. Despite the resuscitation efforts of the Samu Aeromedical team, which lasted around 1 hour and 20 minutes, the pilot did not survive his serious injuries.

On the same day as the accident, the pilot published a video on social media showing part of the routine at the family sawmill. Driving a tractor, he wrote: "Another normal day in the life of a logger 🤣🤣🚜🚚🪵🌧️".

The loss was felt by the category. The Viva Enduro profile, which highlights the sport in Santa Catarina, wrote that Gian leaves a story on the trails, competitions and to everyone who lived with him.

In a statement, the Santa Catarina Motorcycling Federation (FCM) published a note lamenting Gian's death and reinforcing Gian's role in the category, praising his achievements and love for the sport. Check it out below:

Gian was much more than a competitor. Passionate about motorcycling and especially Enduro, he built a career marked by achievements, titles and great performances, taking the name of Caxambu do Sul and Santa Catarina to state, South Brazilian and national competitions.

But his legacy goes far beyond his results on the trails. Gian was truly passionate about the sport, a great partner of the Santa Catarina Motorcycling Federation and someone who dedicated his time and energy to strengthening and growing Enduro in our state. As a rider, organizer and supporter, he became a much-loved and respected figure within the Santa Catarina motorcycling family.

Today, the roar of his motorcycle is silent, but the stories, the friendships, the achievements and, above all, the legacy of someone who intensely lived his passion for two wheels remain.
