A Polish climber died in the Swiss Alps while descending from the summit of Mont Pleureur

According to the Italian agency, the Pole died on Sunday while descending from the summit of Mont Pleureur, in the commune of Val de Bagnes, in the Swiss canton of Valais, right next to the border with the Italian Aosta Valley.

A man who was in the mountains with another climber fell into the abyss.

His companion immediately called the emergency services. After arriving at the scene on board the helicopter, rescuers pronounced the mountaineer dead.
