Mayor of Goiânia announces competition for the Metropolitan Civil Guard with 200 vacancies

The Metropolitan Civil Guard of Goiânia will have a competition with 200 vacancies and another 500 for reserve registration, declared Mayor Sandro Mabel at a press conference.

In addition to holding the competition, the head of the municipal Executive also informed that he is transferring administrative agents to work on the streets of the capital.

"It is a competition that is not for candidates, it is a competition for people who are capable of taking it. There is a series of tests, it depends on the person having the aptitude to be a guard. There is no administrative service for guards", declared the mayor.

The city hall published in the Official Gazette, this Tuesday (1), the decree that designates the public competition commission and the auxiliary commission in the Metropolitan Civil Guard to carry out the competition.

The last competition notice for the Metropolitan Civil Guard was published two years ago, in September 2024. At the time, the document provided for 100 vacancies for immediate start and a further 600 vacancies for reserve registration. The starting salary stipulated in the notice at the time was R$3,700.

According to the last published notice, the competition included six stages: objective and discursive test, medical assessment, physical fitness test, psychological assessment, social investigation and training course.

Among the requirements of the previous process, the requirements to join the Metropolitan Civil Guard were: having Brazilian nationality, being up to date with military and electoral obligations, having higher education and being between 18 and 35 years old, a minimum height of 1.60 m for women and 1.65 m for men, among other criteria.
