The City of Cuiabá, through the Municipal Department of Education, opened a Simplified Selection Process to create a reserve register for 1,520 professionals who will work in the municipal education network during the 2027 school year. Registration began this Tuesday (8) and continues until September 28.
Salaries vary depending on the role and working hours and reach R$5,599.94 for Higher Level Technician positions. For higher education teachers, the expected remuneration is R$4,131.05 for 20 hours per week. Caregivers of special students will receive R$2,431.96 for a 30-hour day or R$3,064.45 for 40 hours.
The largest number of opportunities is allocated to the position of Special Student Caregiver. There are 811 vacancies, 572 of which are for 40 hours per week and another 239 for 30 hours.
There are also 174 vacancies for teacher educators, 125 for School Nutrition Technician, lunch lady role, 83 for Early Childhood Education Teacher, former Child Development Technician (TDI), and 70 for General Services Assistant. There are also opportunities for Art and Physical Education teachers, drivers, Libras interpreters and higher education professionals.

How to sign up
The vacancies are distributed between the East, North, West and South regions, in addition to rural schools. When registering, the candidate must choose the group of school units in the region in which they intend to work. The specific unit will be chosen upon admission, depending on the classification and availability of places.
The notice reserves 10% of vacancies for people with disabilities (PwD), as long as there is compatibility between the job duties and the disability. To compete for reserved places, it is necessary to present a medical report. There is also a reserve of 20% of vacancies for black and indigenous candidates. Those who opt for quotas must make a self-declaration during registration and subsequently go through the verification procedure
Registration will be made exclusively online, via the Instituto Selecon website, until 11:59 pm on September 28th, as described in the notice.
The registration fee is R$75 for mid-level and professional positions and R$85 for higher-level positions, with the possibility of requesting an exemption.
