Tonight and this morning, Russia - carrying out a massive attack on Ukraine that killed at least three people and injured at least 40 - committed three drone strikes very close to the border of Ukraine and Poland, specifically close to the Dorohusk-Yagodz border crossing.

Due to further attacks by the Russian Federation in the immediate vicinity of Poland, Prime Minister Donald Tusk convened a meeting at 5 p.m. with the participation of the heads of the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Interior and Administration and the services - said government spokesman Adam Szłapka in a statement.

In the morning, about 800 meters from the crossing in Dorohusk, on the Ukrainian side, in Jagodzi, the drone hit a gas station, hitting a truck. Later, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Karolina Gałecka, announced that two vehicles had caught fire.

About 2 kilometers from the border, a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle hit the locomotive of a train traveling from Kiev to Warsaw, which was confirmed by the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński. There were 206 people on board, but not Poles. Thanks to the crew's advance warning, no one was injured. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz then informed that in addition to the drone strike 800 meters from our border, another drone strike was also recorded approximately 5 kilometers from Poland.

The spokesman for the Operational Command of the Armed Forces, Lt. Col. Jacek Goryszewski, assessed that "the threat to Poland was real." Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski, who is in Kiev today, wrote on the X platform: "Putin is escalating."
