Putin comments on flood aftermath in Dagestan

“You just mentioned the events that took place in the republic in connection with the flood, in connection with the natural disaster. I hope that the new leadership will do everything to ensure that the tasks of helping people who suffered from the flood are resolved,” Putin said, commenting on the liquidation of the consequences of the flood in Dagestan.

Heavy rainfall in the North Caucasus at the end of March - beginning of April led to large-scale natural disasters, Dagestan and Chechnya were severely affected - massive flooding, power outages, rockfalls and mudslides occurred in the republics, roads and bridges were damaged.
