Putin evaluated Russia-Europe relations: 'There is no threat to Russia'

Russian leader Vladimir Putin evaluated his country's relations with Europe in his statement to journalists in New Delhi, the capital of India, where he is to attend the 18th BRICS Leaders Summit.

Stating that the West is constantly "trying to squeeze" Russia, Putin said, "They first tried to do this through terrorists and separatists in the Caucasus. Now they are trying to do this through the Nazi administration in Ukraine. They tried to disintegrate Russia. This is a fact." he said.

Emphasizing that the crisis in Ukraine was provoked by the West, the Russian leader stated that the aim was to include Ukraine in NATO and said, "This was the main reason for the tragic events taking place in Ukraine today. Western globalists are guilty of this. However, they constantly put the blame on us." he said.

"NO THREAT"

Stating that the elites in Europe were frightening their citizens with the "Russian threat", Putin continued: "There is no threat and never has been. Why would we do such a thing? We have no reason to conflict with Europe. All issues were resolved in line with the results of the Second World War. What happened after the collapse of the Soviet Union was done with the approval of Russia. Everything that is against these agreements is against our interests and the United Nations (UN) Charter.

Now they are considering sending troops to Ukrainian territory. This will mean war with Russia. As far as I understand, citizens of European countries are aware of what is happening. In my opinion, this is the basis of the election results in Germany and the political processes in Europe in general.
