Four men are arrested on suspicion of involvement in a triple homicide linked to a criminal faction in Bahia

4 men were arrested on Friday (16) suspected of triple homicide in Feira de Santana. Another suspect is on the run.

The crime occurred on July 11th, linked to drug trafficking. The 3 victims were captured, attacked and executed by the group.

The police identified different roles of the suspects in the action. The Court ordered the preventive detention of 5 people being investigated after a favorable opinion from the Public Ministry.

Four people investigated for the triple homicide of three men in Feira de Santana, the second largest city in Bahia, were arrested on Friday (16). The victims were killed on July 11 of this year, in the São João and Queimadinha neighborhoods. According to the Civil Police, a fifth person under investigation, known as “2D”, is on the run.

Three suspects were found in the Queimadinha neighborhood and the fourth was arrested in a residential condominium in the Mangabeira neighborhood. The arrests took place during Operation Triad, carried out by the Feira de Santana Homicide Police Station (DH).

The victims were identified as Danilo Asafe de Freitas Carneiro, aged 22, Bruno de Freitas Carneiro, aged 27, and Wescley Conceição de Jesus. According to investigations, the murders occurred in the context of the activities of a criminal organization linked to drug trafficking.

The Civil Police reported that one of the victims was lured to a mechanic's workshop, where he was captured, tied up and attacked. During the threats and attacks, the suspects obtained information about the location of the other two victims.

The group then broke into a residence and captured the other two men. After being interrogated under threats, the three victims were executed.

Danilo Asafe was found dead in 2nd Travessa Leolindo Silva, in the Queimadinha neighborhood, with gunshot marks and signs of burns. According to police, the body was set on fire after the execution.

The other two men were shot at Travessa Intendente Abdon, in the São João neighborhood. One of the victims died at the scene, while the other was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and taken to the Clériston Andrade General Hospital (HGCA), where he died.

According to the Civil Police, the investigation identified suspects with different roles in the crime, including leadership, capturing the victims and participating in the executions.

The court ordered the preventive detention of five people being investigated, after representation from the police and a favorable opinion from the Public Ministry. Efforts continue to locate the suspect who remains at large.
