Racing - Real Madrid live | Mbappé puts Madrid ahead with a penalty

Good afternoon and welcome to the Racing - Real Madrid live!

José Mourinho's men are looking to continue their good winning streak and get back within three points of Barcelona, who beat Alavés on Saturday. In front of them they have a Racing team that broke its bad streak of four games without winning against Espanyol and wants to get away from relegation.

There are already eleven from Real Madrid!

Mourinho opts for Trent instead of Dumfries to make up for Valverde's loss at right back and Courtois returns to goal.

XI: Courtois; Trent, Konaté, Rüdiger, Cucurella; Tchouameni, Bernardo Silva; Güler, Bellingham, Diomande; Mbappé.

4. Crucial Huijsen to avoid a heads-up

Electric start to the match by both teams. It was Racing that came close to creating the first chance with a pass into space from Iker Luque for Zabiri, who if it weren't for Huijsen would have been left alone against Courtois.

5. Diomande hurts his ankle

The Ivorian arrived in a hurry to the baseline to put a cross to the far post and took a hit. He seems to be recovering little by little, but he complains a lot.

7. The one Güler had!

The opportunity that the Turk throws out is very clear! Madrid moved the ball well from left to right. Trent received it alone in the area, left it to Güler at the penalty spot and the Turk finished off with his right foot.

8. Heat up Endrick

Mourinho has Endrick warm up in case Diomande cannot continue.

9. What a great performance by Agirrezabala!

Güler crosses the penalty spot, Bellingham finishes a few meters from the goal and Agirrezabala makes a spectacular handball to prevent Madrid's first goal.

10. Penalty for Real Madrid!

After Agirrezabala's saving hand, Mbappé entered the area, Trappi touches Mbappé just enough and the Frenchman falls in the area. The referee signals a penalty and Mbappé himself prepares to take the shot.

12. MBAPPÉ GOOOOL!

The Frenchman does not miss from 11 meters with a powerful and tight shot and beats Agirrezabala. Racing players continue to complain because they consider Trappi's contact on Mbappé insufficient. 0-1.

13. What a great save from Courtois!

Iker Luque received it alone in the area, he shot hard from the bottom and Courtois stuck out his leg to prevent Racing's tying goal. Great reaction from José Alberto López's team.
