Russian raids in Ukraine: three dead and twenty injured, Zelensky's appeal for air defense

At least three people were killed and 20 injured in Russian raids conducted between the night and this morning in Ukraine, as reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a post on X. Two people died and 14 were injured in Kryvyi Rih, while one person was killed in the Sumy region. Another six injuries were reported in Kiev and the region.

Zelensky also reported that 13 Ukrainian regions had been hit by Russian forces over the past week, with the launch of more than 1,550 attack drones, nearly 1,560 guided aerial bombs and 62 missiles, "most of them ballistic of various types."

“Kremenchuk and Kryvyi Rih were hit by ballistic missiles,” Zelensky wrote, accusing Moscow of hitting civilian infrastructure “wherever it can reach with its ballistic missiles.” The Ukrainian president also reported a new wave of Russian drones launched this morning.

Zelensky then urged new Western military aid for air defense, saying that "when North Korean ballistic missiles destroy infrastructure and cause casualties here in Europe, European interceptors cannot simply sit in storage." "Lives must be protected. Russia must be stopped," he concluded.
