ATP Ranking: Sinner remains in command, Djokovic leaves the top 10

Alexander Zverev still second in the ATP world rankings but ever closer to Jannik Sinner; while Novak Djokovic is out of the top 10. These are the results of the updated ranking after the German champion's victory at the US Open.

In the aftermath of his first Grand Slam final, Ben Shelton moved up 5 places to fourth, his best finish at 23 years old.

Carlos Alcaraz, defeated in the quarterfinals at Flushing Meadows where he was defending his title, remains in third place in the world but has only 880 points ahead of Shelton.

Djokovic, eliminated in the first round and now 12th, is outside the top 10 for the first time since July 16, 2018.

Among the Italians, Flavio Cobolli drops to 7th place, Lorenzo Musetti to 20th; Luciano Darderi stable in 22nd place. Behind them Matteo Arnaldi 37th (-1); Matteo Berrettini 43rd (=0), Lorenzo Sonego 86th (+3) and Mattia Bellucci 90th (+5).

The progress of Andrea Guerrieri (n. 167, +20) and Federico Cinà (n. 168, +13) also stands out: both celebrate the best ranking.
