RB Leipzig beats HSV 5-0 and strengthens Demichelis' position

Martin Demichelis can breathe a sigh of relief at RB Leipzig, at Hamburger SV there is likely to be a mood of crisis after the next embarrassing goalless performance. The Saxons effortlessly beat the bottom of the table 5-0 (2-0) on matchday 3 of the Bundesliga and gave the criticized Argentine coach a much quieter week. Easy goals - worries for Ouédraogo

In a simple move, Brajan Gruda sent the Dutchman Ezekiel Banzuzi down the right side, and the flat pass into the penalty area found Gomis, who was completely alone. It was the first goal of the season for the left winger, who had been converted into a center forward and had already prepared two goals against Gladbach.

Hamburg braver, Leipzig more accurate

HSV got into the game better and even had their first two shots on the Leipzig goal. But both David Møller Wolfe (49th) and Zakaria El Ouahdi (54th) failed due to Maarten Vandevoordt. However, the sometimes naive defensive behavior was retained. During a counterattack (55th), four Leipzig players ran towards the goal against an HSV defender, but miserably missed the chance. Five minutes later, Christopher Nkunku, who came on for Ouédraogo, missed the third goal with a side kick.

Orban then took care of this - with a variant from the training ground. Nusa hit his free kick from the left edge of the penalty area to the far post, where the experienced veteran only had to hold out his foot. Nkunku also scored effortlessly after a counterattack. The Frenchman celebrated his goal like in old Leipzig times - he blew up a red balloon for his son. The third RB goal within five minutes was scored by Romulo, who had been injured for a long time, after a counterattack from a HSV throw-in.
