在國際扶輪基金會全球獎助金計畫的支持下，由台灣國際扶輪3501地區與韓國3730地區攜手合作，共同捐贈約5萬美金（約台幣155萬元），協助「八德教養院」全面汰換牙科設備，包括牙科診療台、空壓機、洗牙機等核心器材，並同步進行診間空間優化作業，讓院生能在更安全舒適的環境中接受牙科照護，今上午舉行捐贈儀式。
八德教養院表示，八德教養院安置智能障礙、合併多重障礙中度以上院生，透過國際扶輪全球獎助金計劃挹注資源，更新牙科診療室並更新相關設備，可協助身心障礙住民降低外出就醫不便，提升口腔健康照護品質，更能實踐醫療平權與在地照護服務，這次設立牙醫診療台，不僅幫助院生，更降低整體社會成本，意義深遠。

桃園市牙醫師公會前理事長簡志成表示，目前牙醫師公會徵請志願醫師前來八德教養院協助牙醫門診，目前每個月安排六診，全部都是牙醫健保項目，也感謝國際扶輪社贊助，給院生更好的就醫環境。
國際扶輪3501地區總監劉正輝說，國際扶輪全球獎助金計畫，鼓勵跨國的國際扶輪社合作，此次捐贈八德教養院牙醫設備，韓國3730地區出資7000美元，其餘4萬3000美元由國際扶輪3501地區各分社共同捐贈，也感謝大家共襄盛舉。
