Russian air defenses down 725 drones, Ukrainian losses total about 1,455 troops

MOSCOW, October 10. /TASS/. Russian air defense systems shot down two US-made HIMARS rockets and 725 fixed-wing Ukrainian drones over the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Ukrainian forces lost about 1,455 troops across the special military operation zone: up to 270 in the Battlegroup North's area, up to 220 in Battlegroup West’s area, over 150 in Battlegroup South’s area, up to 525 in Battlegroup Center’s area, up to 275 in Battlegroup East’s area, and over 15 in Battlegroup Dnepr’s area.

Separately, Ukrainian units trapped in an encirclement in the Kharkov Region lost up to 45 servicemen and three unmanned ground vehicles over the past day.

Since the start of the special military operation, 674 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 258,265 UAVs, 672 air defense systems, 31,183 tanks, 1,786 MLRS vehicles, 36,686 artillery pieces, and 74,141 special military vehicles have been destroyed.
