The n. 1 in the world Aryna Sabalenka lost her temper with a journalist after her victory at the US Open against Polina Iatcenko 6-1, 6-1. The 28-year-old Belarusian refused to answer the reporter who asked her if too many social appearances on the eve of the US Open had not come at the expense of her athletic preparation.

"Are you kidding? Parties, fun, but why would you say something like that? Why would it even come to mind? What kind of question is that?", the champion replied angrily: "Think before you open your mouth". Aryna continued, visibly irritated: "Just because I posted some activities with brands makes you think I was having fun at parties and not working out?"

Sabalenka, who advanced to the third round with the victory against Iatchenko, aims to win a third consecutive US Open in New York.
