Mehmet Taştan, who had an argument with his colleague in Hadımköy, was killed by Özcan K.

The incident took place around 17.30 on Hadımköy District Ürgüplü Street.

According to the information obtained, Mehmet Taştan and Özcan K., who were learned to be working at the same workplace, started arguing for an unknown reason. As the argument escalated, Özcan K. shot Mehmet Taştan with the gun next to him. Suspect Özcan K. fled the scene with his vehicle with license plate 34 LDE 633 after the attack.

Upon the notice of the surrounding people, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams found service driver Mehmet Taştan injured in his head, chest and back in the vehicle with plate number 34 LAR 691.

Mehmet Taştan, who was determined to be seriously injured in the incident during the checks of the medical teams, was taken to the hospital after the first aid at the scene. Taştan, who was under treatment, died despite all the interventions. During the investigation of the police teams at the scene, 4 empty cartridges were detected.

SUSPECT CAUGHT

Police teams launched an operation to catch the suspect who escaped after the incident, and determined that Özcan K. fled in the direction of Haraççı District with his vehicle. Yunus Teams spotted the vehicle on Haraççı-Hadımköy Yolu Street and caught the suspect Özcan K. In his first statement, it was learned that the suspect said that he had a fight with a man named Mehmet, with whom he worked at the same workplace, and that he shot himself with a gun, and then threw the gun away while he was heading towards Arnavutköy.

MURDER WEAPON FOUND

During the studies carried out in the area described by the suspect, a gun believed to have been used in the murder was found in the bushes on Kayıkçı Street in Hadımköy District. On the other hand, it was learned that the suspect Özcan K. had a previous record for 'Deliberate wounding'.
