All-time record in passenger and flight traffic at Sabiha Gökçen Airport

According to the statement made by the company, 958 flights were carried out at the airport yesterday, and a new record was recorded in daily flight and passenger traffic.

The airport also reached the highest daily figures in the categories of international arrivals and departures, domestic arrivals and departures, total number of international flights and international outbound flight traffic.

On the same day, a record was broken in the number of aircraft served by passenger boarding bridges (PBB). The daily record, which was previously 212, was surpassed by servicing 218 aircraft.

While terminal operator Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen (ISG) teams carried out processes related to passenger flow, security, cleaning, orientation and passenger experience, Airport Management and Aviation Industries Inc. (HEAŞ) teams continued operations regarding air traffic, apron, runway, aerodrome activities and field safety.

Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport Executive Director Hanita Ahmad stated that exceeding the 180 thousand threshold in daily passenger traffic for the first time is an indication of the demand and operational capacity of Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

Stating that they attach importance to maintaining a passenger-oriented service approach as well as managing high capacity, Ahmad said:
