Após ser preso, ele foi encaminhado à sede da Polícia Federal, em Salvador, onde será iniciado o trâmite de comunicação com a Justiça da Rússia, para o processo de extradição do ex-militar.

“Intensificamos as ações de inteligência, após a Interpol nos avisar sobre a possibilidade dele tentar se esconder na Bahia. Escolheu o local errado e acabou preso”, disse o secretário da Segurança Pública, Marcelo Werner.

Ainda segundo a SSP-BA, o homem tentava comercializar armas e munições para facções brasileiras quando foi capturado. Alvo da Difusão Vermelha da Interpol, o preso tinha como objetivo estruturar uma rede para distribuição de armas, munições e drogas no Brasil.
