Salvini at the Monza GP: "Construction sites for the metro up to the Autodromo at the beginning of the year"

"Proud because as a ministry we have put in the money and the commitment to redo the circuit and the underpasses. Now we are working day and night and we will open the construction sites at the beginning of the new year for the extension of the subway, which after 25 years of chatter will reach Villa Reale and the Autodromo": this was said by the Vice-President of the Council and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, who arrived in the paddock of the Monza Autodromo together with the partner, Francesca Verdini, on the occasion of the Italian Grand Prix.

After donning the Ferrari cap, the minister spoke of decisive turning points for the Brianza plant, where "in a few years you will be able to arrive by metro from the heart of Milan", adding that "traffic and queues will finally be a memory".

When asked about his preferences for the race, the minister avoided exaggerating. "Today I keep my preferences for cheering, but for me there are more valid options on the track."

Finally, when asked about the possibility of a sideline discussion with the president of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, the deputy prime minister continued on, smiling.
