Armed attack on a cafe in Denizli: 3 dead

The number of people who lost their lives in the armed attack on a cafe in Denizli increased to 3. 4 suspects considered to be linked to the incident were detained.

The incident took place yesterday at around 22:00 in a cafe on Yenişehir Mahallesi Walking Road 49th Street in Merkezefendi district.

According to the information obtained, it was claimed that there was an argument between the two groups during the daytime due to the issue of receivables.

After one of the parties saw the members of the other group in the cafe, the suspects came to the area with a commercial vehicle and opened fire several times towards the people sitting in the cafe. A conflict broke out after the other side responded with weapons.

Some of the suspects fled the area with the vehicle they came in after the incident.

Upon the notice of the surrounding people, many police and medical teams were dispatched to the area.

Ercan Kazan and Mahsun Kazan died at the scene of the armed attack. The injured were taken to surrounding hospitals after the first aid of the medical teams.

Süphi Bozat, who was seriously injured and treated in the hospital, could not be saved despite the interventions. Thus, the number of people who lost their lives in the incident increased to 3.

It was learned that the other 3 injured people were continuing their treatment in hospitals.

Within the scope of the work initiated by the police teams after the incident, 4 suspects who were considered to be related to the attack were detained.

The investigation into the incident continues.
