Fugitive Celal Çaltı, who had a conflict with the police in Şanlıurfa, committed suicide

The incident took place in a residence in Çankaya District in the evening. Allegedly, a report was made that there were weapons in the room where Celal Çaltı, who had a record of wounding and various crimes, was staying. Upon notice, armored police vehicles and special operations teams were dispatched to the region. While the teams were taking security measures in the region, a call was made to Çaltı to surrender. However, Çaltı, who did not comply with the call, responded with a gun.

HE WAS FOUND DEAD AFTER THE CONFLICT

Çaltı, who allegedly clashed with the police for a while, was found shot in the head after the incident. During the check made by the medical teams waiting at the scene, it was determined that Çaltı had died. There was tension between the police teams and the relatives of Çaltı, who was learned to have committed suicide with his own gun during the conflict.

Çaltı's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy. The investigation into the incident continues.
