I know we are living in times of concern and uncertainty. I want to speak to you with clarity and serenity.

Given the continuation of the impeachment process, I will present myself and exercise my right to defense. I will do this with arguments and evidence, with respect for the Constitution and the institutions of the Republic.

Even if they have already anticipated their decision, I will exercise this right. Not because of personal pride, but because being accountable and giving explanations is also a responsibility to the Paraguayan people.

I will fully collaborate with the competent institutions to clarify what happened, determine responsibilities and ensure that those who broke the law face justice. I will provide all the information requested. The population deserves to know the truth, without cover-ups and without anyone being above the law.

But I want to make one thing very clear. Payment to account holders cannot be conditioned on what happens to me. The discussion about my remaining in office cannot paralyze the solutions that the affected families need.

My priority was to promote, within the law and in coordination with the responsible institutions, the necessary measures for account holders to recover their savings. Clarifying the facts and resolving payments are obligations that need to move forward at the same time. One cannot serve as an excuse to postpone the other.

I ask that we remain calm and peaceful. The population's demands deserve to be heard and met with respect, clear information and concrete actions.

My personal destiny is not above Paraguay. Whatever the outcome of this process, I will act responsibly and respect the Constitution. My commitment is to the truth, to institutions and, above all, to Paraguayan families
